British Pavilion should be British


Regarding your report on the British Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale (News August 27), I do not understand why it was necessary for the British Council to commission and pay Wolfgang Scheppe, a German citizen living in Venice, to design the Ruskin Wing when there are many capable designers in the UK who would have made a better fist of it.
