A head of steam


Owen Hatherley is right to bemoan the basic, utilitarian character of the new structures on the revived East London Line (Works June 11), but, although he tells us he lives in south-east London, he writes with all the myopia of the north Londoner who thinks that civilisation only exists where the tube runs as well as being culpably vague about railway history
